Should a photojournalists ethics be absolute or situational? Why?
Can a photo really capture truth? Why or why not?
What decisions have you made as a photographer that "edit" reality? Explain.
Why is it important that news organizations have clearly defined ethical standards?

they should not do any changing with any photo becuase its like lieing to the public the public should know the truth about everything, if there is something that the public should not know! then dont right about it! its sounds hard but

the new one

i like how this picture shows a lot of facial expression and shows how he is struggling to get to the finish!

this one shows the same thing but in a different angle!

like he is on his way to the finish, but not yet struggling!

this one shows how he is on his way to the finish with his competition right behind him

my photo shoot!!!! =D

1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get close, capture real moments, and capture action or emotion? How did you deal with these?

well some of the challanges i had with taking picture was that some of the people wanted to do non cainded shots, and shots of them like smilling or something!!!! and i was like crap!! you cant do that!!, and some pictures i saw that whould have been very good!!! there was somthing always in the way! like a table or a wall!! and some people whould look at the camrea or would say "what the hell are you doing," and the emotions of most people were normal witch was good for me because! i got some great shots of them working !

2. What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) did you find yourself thinking about the most, and how did you make sure you did these correctly?

well the truth is i did not think too much of that! i was mostly focused on getting/finding a great shot! now i did come to a room that was dark!! and the lighting was coming in through the windows making a very awsome light beam! and i was really thinking about the exposure, and how its going to come out!, so i did take a few of the same pictures but changhing the exposure just to see how it would come out!

3. Describe how you attempted to use at least one of the advanced composition techniques when you shot.

well i did try one, were you take a picture of a person but they are out of focus! so when they come out they will be in focus but the background would be way aout of focus!, OH! and nothero17ne that i did, (well not really an advanced techiquce) but i think i was im not sure but when i took the shot i was moving to the side kind of fast/slow so whem the picture came out! it the blur of the shot would be moving to the right and left!! wich i thing might look kinda cool!! =D thanks! yall

(i say "yall", im from Texas)

i like this picture because it shows shows his emotion, and how all that mud is on him, clearling showing what he went though was tough and it was not easy!!! and how the focus is just on him and the back is out of focus!!

BY: Roy DeCarava

now this shot gives you a sense of powerless! of enslaved of not being free and not only a feel of not being free but of losing hope that you ever be free! by having the glass window it shows that you have hope of being free, but having it fadded and hard to see from, that shows you the the loss of hope you have of becoming free
by Robert Adams

i like this shot because it shows and gives you a feel of freedom. because well its the ocean and the ocean itself should give you some sense of freedom and but this picture shows the water and the waves splashing, and the darkness toward the ocean and the light sort of near the land!!! kinda representing that freedom is something every one wants but, it sometimes can be a violent thing like if we all need freedom but to much freedom can be a bad thing!!

the three new ones!!! YEAH!!!!

i like this photo because it reminds me of being in my own world like every one around you just its blocked out of your world and what ever is happening is just what ever you do, in this case she is doing her work! getting her job done, consternating on what is important what leaving out what is not.

now this picture is very unique it shows the person in a bur, and the dictionary all clear, but the blurred person is over the dictionary! kinda saying that you not only block out every thing around you to focus but to also block out your self to focus harder on what you need to do!!

this picture is from a very good angle is shows him working and thinking!! i think he has alot of pride in what he dose. and what he is trying to do!

meh bogger!

i like this picture!! because its has mystery and fantasy in its integrity, i like who you can really feel what it is at first but yet it gives you this feeling of lost!!! its a really good picture!

i especially like this picture! because it shows the angle of the skate bored and how it its in the middle of know were, it shows a lot of freedom in this picture!! i like that!

i think this is good!! because it shows the the person in action, but yet not to much action and and to little action. and the frame is good how it shows whats around him but not too much whats around him, almost just right. and its perfect lighting, and a great angle.

i think this is a BAD PICTURE!!! OK just kidding!! its not bad but.... i think the photographer
could have put more effort in to this picture because there is to much open space all around it, and the view is bad, like if would have been cool if it was a totaly diffrent pic. but its not!! the person could have put some more efort in it!!!
